Italianiron & Britiron Classics 2020 Holiday Sales Event

Posted by Scot Wilson on Jan 10th 2021

Due to the COVID pandemic, many have found this year to be devoid of much to celebrate. We can admit, somewhat grudgingly, however, that it has been a good year here at Italianiron & Britiron Classics. Thank you to all of our customers internationally and domestically that have kept us so busy!! As such, and the purpose of this blog post is to discuss our holiday sales initiatives until the end of the year. We will be offering 20% off on the motorcycles that we have in stock. With 5 Nortons in the queue and 2 more TT racer builds on the drawing board, we do need to "thin the herd". Our current inventory of Bikes for Sale are the following: our TT 2 racer, our Bii-Rad Cafe Racer as well as our TT 1000 and TT 1 racers. Shown below is our TT 2 that raced in the UK but now resides in my stable here in the American Southwest. This racer has all of the "trick" race items to make it an ideal vintage racer or as a great track day weapon!! You can read a comprehensive description through the link below.

Feel free to contact me at my new email address: Italianiron7@gmail.com regarding all of our bikes for sale. However, the MSN email will be live until the end of the year. Shown below is our TT 1000 prototype that we built from the ground up. We have now modified our TT 1000 for use on the road as well as the track. Using our chrome-moly race frames, Techno Magnesio wheels, aluminum fuel tank and TT 1 fiberglass bodywork kit, we were able to shave 55 lbs off of a stock Ducati Monster S2R. The combination of the torque of our 1000 cc S2R engine in our chrome-moly TT frame, on 17" magnesium wheels, with an aluminum swingarm, and our aluminum TT 900 fuel tank makes our TT 1000 a significant package. Additionally, as we built this bike to race in the Post Classic Superbike race series, we are using our American made SmartCarb2 flat-slides. As a dealer for SmartCarbs by Technology Elevated in the US I have written numerous blog posts on the massive successes that we are having using our SmartCarbs on different Ducati twin cylinder engines.  We are getting great fuel economy, significantly more HP than other brands of flat-slides and fuel injection. Additionally, our SC's have active adaptability whether riding the bike hard up our mountain roads or on different race tracks.

When we initially became dealers for Two Wheel Classics-UK, we pursued our different builds with a "hands-on" approach to most accurately assess the quality of our product portfolio, the ease of use of our TT chassis and bodywork kits, and to work with to best understand the breadth of our TT and Ducati F1 portfolio. Therefore, we rebuilt our TT 2 with yellow on red livery after receiving it disassembled, built our TT 1000 with silver on red livery and built our TT 1 with 750 cc Ducati race prepped engine using our blue on red livery. My purpose in changing the location of the Ducati logo on the side fairing of our TT 1 and to add the 750 F1 decals came as an inspiration from Jimmy Adamo's racer that Reno Leoni tuned here in the US. Further, I have written numerous blog posts on our different TT builds and have published photo albums of each build on my Scot P Wilson/Italianiron.com FB pages for your review. However, I am always available for telephone calls or emails to discuss your specific questions or requirements.

Our last available motorcycle for sale through Italianiron.com is our Bii-Rad Cafe Racer that we built in conjunction with Toine van den Biggelaar at Biggelaar Performance in Oisterwijk, The Netherlands. Toine is a master engine builder, a third generation Ducati dealer, and developed a very successful "recipe" for building Ducati ST3 engines into extremely competitive Euro-Stock race engines. Our approach was to use this more comprehensive or expanded definition of the term "Cafe Racer". This definition stems from the process of racing development where every team desires every advantage whether it be an engine, suspension, frame, wheel or braking modification so that their bike can be the most efficient, competitive and offering the best power-to-weight ratios. This goal is at the heart of the efforts of the original Cafe Racers, I believe. Combining one of the Ducati factory's lightest engines in one of their lightest frames from a Ducati 848, our Bii-Rad is quite the formitable piece of race kit and licensed for use on the roads here in the Sonoran desert of the American Southwest. Additionally, our Bii-Rad comes in a striking orange and blue livery in honor of The Netherlands!

We will also be offering 15% off of Ducati Square Case Bevel Drive engine cases, heads and barrels as well as other OEM Ducati & Norton engine bits. The link below is for my blog post on our engine case offerings that are available for sale. Another "silver lining" of the international pandemic is that I have been able to go more thoroughly through our inventory in an effort to get more organized and to make available for that restorer, "sought-after" bits for their vintage Ducati Bevel DrivePantah, Paso, and Supersport and a recently added inventory of OEM Norton Commando items. In addition to numerous Desmo and springer heads and barrels for Bevel Drive Ducati's, we have 9 sets of early "square case" engine cases to include those that take the Bosch ignition system. Additionally, all of our engine cases have been professionally vapor-blasted by Rob of RPM Vapor Honing who we have been keeping extremely busy.

We are happy to offer a 15% on our other Ducati & Norton OEM bits that we offer through Italianiron & Britiron Classics. In addition to our product portfolio for TT and other Ducati racers, we are also excited to support enthusiasts for Norton Manx and Norton Commando racers through Molnar Manx and BritIron Classics Norton. Please know that we cannot discount our TGA or Molnar Manx bits who manufacture our TT chassis kits as well as our aluminum TT 900Norton Commando and Manx fuel tanks as these are hand made items and made to our specifications. . The "Make An Offer" feature is available for use on all of our other OEM Ducati and Norton items. As a result of our offerings, it is our hope to help you to become immersed in the history, the passion and the early technology of these amazing machines. Let us "Fuel Your Race Passions" to keep the sport of Vintage Motorcycle Racing alive and well!!
