Italianiron & Britiron Classics 2021 Close-Outs

Posted by Scot Wilson on Nov 29th 2021

We want to thank all of our customers throughout the world for their enthusiasm and for their purchases of our speciality racing spares for Ducati F1, TT, Molnar Manx and Norton Commando racers. It has been another banner year and it has also been so welcome for life to begin to appear to becoming back to normal. Of additional interest, at least to me, is the massive successes we are having with regard to the enthusiasm for our Norton single and twin cylinder portfolio of OEM items and our TGA/Molnar Precision LTD manufactured items. We have been "sold-out" of our newly manufactured Norton Commando heavy duty engine cases and billet aluminum engine barrels. We are, however, accepting deposits on bits that will be back in production starting in January 2022. Additionally, the goal of this blog post is offer positive pricing discounts on current projects as we have numerous shipments of bikes and parts on their way to our Italianiron and Britiron Classics location here in the American Southwest. Shown below is a photo of our brilliant SmartCarb2 offerings for Ducati and Norton twin cylinder engines.

2021 has been a stellar year with our providing our SmartCarb flat-slide carburetors to racers and specialty bike builders the world-over. As dealers for the SmartCarb2's and manufactured by Technology Elevated, we have collectively acquired a significant amount of knowledge on how best to provide the optimal set-up for these "technologically advanced" carbs for the different applications that our customers have made from vintage to modern 2 and 3 valve Ducati twin cylinder engines. It is my recommendation not to use old technology and what was used successfully in the past such as the Keihin FCR and Mikuni brands. They are fine companies and have had successful offerings in the past. However, neither company is offering new and advanced technology. Further, their "new" items come from assembly of old left-over stock. If you wish to find 10% more HP, find 25% more fuel economy, find more time to enjoy your ride due to automatic altitude adjusting capability, and to find a means to contribute to lower CO2 emissions, then there is only one choice and that is the SmartCarb!! We are excited to extend the factory discounts of 10% until 16 Dec 21 for orders paid in full.

As mentioned earlier, I have several shipments from Europe being assembled for shipment to our location in Tucson, Arizona USA. That is in addition to domestic purchases as well. Therefore, I have decided to offer discounts on some of our bikes so that we can literally make more room for what is becoming more and more necessary. As a result, I will be discounting the price of our TT 2 racer that was part of the Two Wheel Classics racing effort. It is a perfect example of what we offer through Italianiron.com with our chrome-moly frame and bodywork kits. This particular bike was raced in the UK and in the Formula 750 class and now has a refreshed Ducati 750 cc race engine with "flowed" heads, Omega pistons, electronic ignition and dry clutch. Engine builds great power through two 40 mm DellOrto carburetors and our 2:1 race exhaust. Contact me at Italianiron7@gmail.com for more details on the various "go-fast" bits that this racer contains. Discounted price of $18,999 is available until the end of the year. As I am having a blast riding my TT 1000 and getting enquiries as to it's availability, I will be open to offers on my TT 1000 as well. Our need for more room is also due to the fact that I have a 1100 Monster race-prepped engine nearly ready for fitment into one of our chrome-moly TT frames.

Also for purchase is my Biggelaar Performance-Italianiron Cafe Racer that we built as a joint effort and adorned in the orange/blue Dutch livery. Team Biggelaar in The Netherlands raced the Ducati ST3 engine as it is one one of the factory's lightest modern engines. After making some significant enhancements to the ST3 engine, Team Biggelaar used it in Euro Stock classes and with great success against Ducati 1098's! As a result, when I was speculating about my next project, Toine stated that he would take the stock ST3 engine that I had just purchased and build it into a "wolf in sheep's clothing" which he did!! This enhanced engine performance combined with our shaving 50+ pounds off of the chassis makes for a very enjoyable and capable machine! Blog posts of our build were written on 14 Sept 19, 31 Jan 18 and 13 Aug 17. This bike builds significant power and I was able to stay on the tail of a Ducati V4 ridden by a very capable rider up our mountain roads on a Ducati club ride. This Bii-Rad racer is a "Super" bike and not some poser. Contact me at Italiairon7@gmail.com for more details. Comes with a valid Arizona US title. The price of $11,999 is available until the end of the year.

In addition, I have a nearly completed (90%) 1972 Norton 750 Commando with rebuilt engine and gearbox that I took in trade when I sold my 1980 Ducati 900 Darmah SSD. Engine and gearbox rebuild was done in Illinois by a reputable Norton shop and was running with a single Mikuni carburetor. Commando frame has new black powder-coating with clear-coating for added protection. Wiring loom is new and almost completely re-wired. We have also marked all of the wiring ends for expeditious completion. Roadster bodywork is painted in the white, blue and red JPN pallet. If you wish to save some money by finishing up this build yourself, then this 1972 Norton 750 Commando could be that project. Otherwise, I will put it into storage until space and time become available. In addition to newly painted bodywork, there are newly chrome-plated bits, polished bits, as well as new stainless steel fenders (front and rear) and a new JPN exhaust system from RGM Motors in the UK. Front brake master cylinder is rebuilt with front single caliper. Discounted price, as:is, will be $7,699 until the end of the calendar year.
