It has been said that at Italianiron/BritIron Classics, let us "Fuel Your Race Passions" is not just a slogan but a commitment, whether you are restoring a Ducati Bevel Drive, building a vintage TT racer for competition, a Ducati F1 vintage street bike or a classic Norton Commando, Manx, Atlas, Dominator, G50 or 7R racers. As a result, we are focused on and primarily committed to supporting the sport of Vintage Motorcycle Racing worldwide. One of the most significant offerings made at Italianiron & Britiron Classics is the availability of good quality newly manufactured fuel tanks and bodywork kits as well as vintage, refurbished OEM bodywork for Ducati Bevel Drive, Pantah, Ducati 888/851 Superbikes, Ducati 996 Superbikes, Ducati 999 Superbikes and finally Norton Commandos. Maintaining a quality offering is our most important goal and has been our exclusive focus. Our newly manufactured race spec items are race tested for quality and assurance of structural integrity, performance, for light weight and for reliability.

As a result of my amateur racing of Ducati Bevel Drives, Ducati 996 & 748 rs Superbikes, and Norton Commandos, I am always keen to maintain a good offering for these vintage and now vintage OEM "modern" Superbike bits. We have newly manufactured OEM fuel tanks and bodywork for Ducati "square case" bevel drives, Ducati Pantah's, Ducati F1's, Ducati 900 ss, as well as items for Ducati 999, 996, 916 and 748 Superbikes. I am constantly searching the world over in order to keep a good selection of fuel tanks and bodywork for these various models of racers and street bikes. As our philosophy is to offer quality refurbished items, we work to offer these OEM items after fixing, color-matching, repainting these items with OEM decals instead of offering used and damaged items. Our many customers throughout the globe have written wonderful testimonials to the quality of our work and the (relative) cost effective shipping rates for transporting these refurbished items worldwide. Further, in today's crazy covid world, shipping has been a real challenge but we continue to get great shipping rates that we pass along to our customers. Note that shipping is NOT a profit center for us and that the shipping rates we get are the same rates that we pass along to you, our valued customers!!

At Italianirion & Britiron Classics we work with many domestic and international sources to maintain good consistent sources for acquiring useable OEM Ducati and Norton fuel tanks and bodywork. Shown above are refurbished Ducati 888 Superbike, 900 Supersport, 996 Superbike & 748 Superbike fuel tanks and I have Ducati 999 and Ducati 851 fuel tanks en route. Acquisition costs, shipping costs and the cost of paint continue to impact the cost of what we are able to sell our refurbished items for as those costs continue to increase exponentially. Despite the impact to the pricing of our OEM Ducati Superbike and Supersport fuel tanks and bodywork, we continue to attempt to keep up with the pace of demand. It is very exciting to see how much excitement there is in keeping these iconic Ducati "Liter" Superbikes and carbureted Supersports fully functioning on the track and on the road as they were meant to perform, by design. Shown below is currently my last set of Ducati 900 ss side fairing panels after selling 6 sets over the last couple of months and until my next shipment from Europe arrives. We now have a good useable "Make an Offer" app available for OEM items on the Italianiron.com website and are happy to entertain any reasonable offers.

I have written previously in other blog posts on how we continue to have great success offering our complete chrome-moly TT chassis and our bodywork kits for the vintage racing community and street bike builders. As our TT 1100 and TT 900 racers have been popular builds for both racers and street riders, we can offer both an aluminum option and a fiberglass option for our "shallow sump" TT 900 fuel tank or "deep sump" TT 2 and TT 1 racers. These shallow sump TT 900 fuel tanks have been designed to work with modern Ducati engines where our SmartCarb2 carburetors manufactured by Technology Elevated, fit between the cylinder heads and face each other. Whereas, the majority of our sales have consisted of purchases from our aluminum fuel tank portfolio, we have found that we have also needed to provide a cost effective fiberglass option as well for racers and builders on a budget. We continue to offer both fiberglass TT and F1 bodywork but can now offer carbon fiber at an additional cost. Listed below is my blog post where I wrote about our new carbon fiber bodywork products.

We have also been supplying the Ducati Pantah racing and builders community with quality chassis and bodywork options in addition to our portfolio of engines and other OEM Ducati Pantah spares. Shown below is a Ducati Pantah 650 racer project that we built. I remain very proud of that build. On that build, we used our specialty fiberglass Pantah race tank with our matching Pantah racer seat base. Half fairing was OEM and in this build, we used an OEM Pantah frame with additional gusseting welded to the frame to enhance the rigidity for this race application. We also converted the OEM frame to accept our TT/F1 Verlicchi style rear swing arm for use with our YSS mono shock set-up. We are very happy to participate in the enthusiasm of the racing history and successes of these early belt-driven Dr. Taglioni masterpieces. These light weight, belt driven Pantah engines set the stage for the Ducati factory's massive domestic and world racing Superbike successes. We also continue to offer a full fairing option for your Pantah racer.
Additionally, any post regarding fuel tanks and bodywork kits would not be complete if I did not mention our line of quality aluminum fuel tanks for the different models of the Norton Commando and Molnar Manx. If you are looking to upgrade your Norton Commando, a modern aluminum fuel tank made for TGA and Molnar Manx in the UK or one of our refurbished steel OEM fuel tanks can be a significant safety enhancement. Our new aluminum Norton Commando fuel tanks fits the Norton 850 & 750 Commando but will also fit Triton`s and other Cafe Racers that use a Commando chassis. Our tank is a faithful copy of the original Norton factory tank and manufactured by hand on an english wheel, gas welded and annealed all over to prevent cracking. This fuel tank is supplied with twin 1/4 BSP fuel tap bosses & 2" Monza flip cap and can be supplied in a raw brushed finish for painting, or polished for an extra charge. We also continue to offer Norvil race and street half fairings, windscreens and other bits for your Norton Commando racing variant. Contact me regarding your specific requirements at Britironclassics@gmail.com.

At our subsidiary, BritIron Classics, we continue to have a great deal of fun reconnecting with the Norton marque and other famous British marques by offering quality, newly manufactured fuel tanks, oil tanks, engine components as well as numerous bodywork kits for British racers and street bikes. In Mick Walker's book,"The Manx Norton", he talked about the history of successes of this formidable racer. As the Norton Manx began at the "very dawn of motorcycle racing itself, the Norton single is without doubt the greatest of all of the "over-the-counter" production racers. Not only that, but in works guise these "cammy" Norton's dominated road racing at the Grand Prix level". This history continued against significant competition from manufacturers throughout the globe fielding multi-cylinder racers well into the 1960's. Team Molnar Manx continues to achieve significant successes in racing their Manx's in vintage motorcycle classes. In addition, TGA/Molnar Precision LTD also supplies beautiful aluminum Molnar Manx fuel tanks that I had the privilege to hold in my hand. The quality of the craftsmanship is remarkable and the fuel tank itself is amazingly light. These aluminum Manx fuel tanks are TIG welded, annealed throughout and baffled as required and comes complete with cap and cut-out for carburetor. Fuel tap boss is welded in. If you require a particular paint scheme on your fuel tank, please contact me at Britironclassics@gmail.com to discuss your requirements.
