At Italianiron & BritIron Classics, let us "Fuel Your Race Passions" is not just a slogan but a commitment, whether you are building a vintage TT, F1 or Pantah racer for competition or restoring a Norton Commando or Manx racer. 2023 is already becoming another big year for us with new acquisitions and new speciality racing spares for Ducati's and Norton's. Due to our successes to date, it is time to "remodel" and refresh our website. We will have a professional group working on that while my wife and I are in the Mediterranean with friends in Spain and Italy celebrating our 40th anniversary. Therefore, we will not be able to ship until 5 May 23. However, I will have my laptop to take any enquiries that you may have. Upon our return, we will be listing numerous items from our piles of newly acquired carbureted Ducati Supersport and Norton Commando bits.
We are passionate fans of all things racing, Ducati and Norton. We have made a nice niche out of providing refurbished bodywork, chassis and engine components to the very popular carbureted Ducati 900 & 750 Supersports. These engines love our SmartCarb2 flat-slide carbs made in the USA. To learn more about the SC2's, please take some time to read about our successes confirming the factory's claims of improved performance, fuel economy, ease of use, and automatic adaptability due to changes in ambient temperatures and elevations through my blog posts. We have worked closely with the SmartCarb factory engineers and have published our successful results on Ducati bevel drive, Pantah, F1, Paso, Supersport and large capacity Monster S2R DS engines. We also love Ducati bevel drives and still maintain a large amount of square case engine components. Currently there are 8 crank cases for square case engines that have been professionally vapor blasted in addition to numerous heads and barrels. Most importantly we have tubs of bevel valve gear, bevel housings, bevel housing supports, and loads of good OEM transmission gears/lay shafts. Additionally, I have two Ducati 860GT/GTS engines that include complete heads and barrels but are missing their side covers as well as Ducati 860 GT fuel tanks/side covers. As this is a hobby business as I have retired from the corporate world, I have not had time to list many tubs of bits yet. We are also large fans of Ducati belt driven engines and maintain a good selection of Pantah, Paso and Supersport engines/components. We also offer our billet Pantah rear heads to convert Paso engines into a Pantah configuration where our SmartCarb2 flat-slide carburetor hangs off the back of the rear, vertical Pantah engine head. We also just took in a Ducati 650 Alazzurra and will be making the bits available shortly. Another niche is our refurbished bodywork and fuel tanks for the 1 liter Ducati 996 & 748 Superbikes. We are also huge fans of keeping Norton or Molnar Manx and Norton Commando racers and street bikes on the road or on the track!! Currently, we offer complete Manx engines as well as billet Commando engine crank cases, cranks and engine barrels with more racing spares on the engineer's design board. Shown below is an example of one of our Norton Commando barrels that is made from heat-treated L169 aerospace spec aluminum alloy for maximum cooling, weight reduction and greater reliability.
