At Italianiron/BritIron Classics, let us "Fuel Your Race Passions" is not just a slogan but a commitment, whether you are building a vintage TT or Pantah racer for competition or a Ducati F1 vintage street bike. In addition to our comprehensive, specialty portfolio of TT, Pantah, and F1 bodywork kits, we would also like to begin to highlight our full product portfolio in greater detail. With this new Pantah Racer project, we will be using our chrome-moly Pantah race frame that weighs 16 lbs (7.257 kg) in comparison to a stock frame of 27 lbs.(12.247 kg). Also shown below are two of our popular chrome-moly TT framed racers and those frames are available in either 25 mm (8.4 kg weight) for the smaller 350 cc to 750 cc Ducati belt driven engines or 28 mm (8.7 kg weight) for 750 cc to 1100 DS engines. We sell all of our TT & Pantah frames in raw metal or powder-coated for an additional fee.

As I really enjoyed building the last Ducati Pantah 650 racer, it is my plan to start building another Ducati Pantah racer as shown in the photo at the top of this blog post. However, this time, this racer will be built with a Ducati 750 cc power plant and fully faired. At Italian Iron Classics, LLC when we work on a build, we start with a vision and we always work to maintain the "spirit" or "soul" of the bike while enhancing it with the best in modern components. Our Pantah racer bodywork will be used and include our full fairing kit, seat base, bracket set and windscreen. All of these items we have in stock. Further, I also have 2 OEM Pantah half fairings in stock for those looking for OEM factory items. In the case of this next project, I will be using a used aluminum Pantah racer fuel tank that I found in the UK. It is important to note that we never had any leaks with the fiberglass version of our Pantah racer fuel tank mounted on the Pantah 650 racer that we sold and similar fuel tanks that we offer for sale.
On this next Pantah build, we start with our race components as shown below. I will also be using one of our specialty chrome-moly Pantah race frames that is already designed for the mono-shock configuration. As a result, this will allow us to use one of our copies of the Verlicchi swingarms that we manufacture and were commonly found on TT racers and F1's. As I reported previously, the weight of our Pantah 650 Racer was 363 lbs Wet (164.65 kg) using a standard SL frame. This is in comparison to a Ducati 650 Pantah street bike listed at 397 lbs Dry (180 kg) and to a Cagiva 650 Alazzurra street bike listed at 418.8 lbs Dry (190 kg) according to data on the internet. Our Ducati 650 Pantah was already a light weight racer with a stock SL frame but this Pantah racer will be even lighter with our chrome-moly frame and other light-weight race bits. Our racer will be supported by our using hefty 41.7 mm Marzocchi M1R front forks mounted through our custom made billet yokes/triple clamps.
Please note that we also offer 35 mm, 38 mm, and 40 mm billet yokes/triple clamps in addition to our 41.7 mm yokes/triple clamps for many Ducati and other racing marque applications. As reported previously, we have also been manufacturing 43 mm and 53 mm yokes/triple clamps for use with more modern Superbike forks. However, shown below and available for purchase is our new set of aluminum clip-on's for use with Ducati Bevels, Pantah's, Paso's, Supersports, some Superbikes and TT racers that use either 38 mm, 40 mm or 41.7 mm front forks. Our newly manufactured set of clip-on's are machined from aluminum with scalloped clips to ensure a firm weld between the two components. Do specify size when ordering. I will be using our 41.7 mm yoke/triple clamp set and our new 41.7 mm clip-on's with this new Pantah racer project. Do know that we also offer our upgraded rear set kit for TT and Pantah racers.

In addition to our product portfolio for TT and other Ducati racers, we are also excited to support enthusiasts for Norton Manx and Norton Commando racers through Molnar Manx and BritIron Classics Norton. Check out our Norvil fairings & windscreen offerings. Please review the numerous newly manufactured TT, Ducati F1 and Norton Commando items such as our aluminum fuel tanks, for example, and listed on my Italianiron.com website. British marques are listed on the Britiron or Manx section of the website. As a result of our offerings, it is our hope to help you to become immersed in the history, the passion and the early technology of these amazing machines. Let us "Fuel Your Race Passions" to keep the sport of Vintage Motorcycle Racing alive and well!!
