Italian & Britiron Classics, LLC Shifting Gears - Logistics

Posted by Scot P Wilson on Aug 16th 2026

Just before we left for Scotland, we did accomplish the move from a 1200 sq ft warehouse space to one that is 1/3 the size as we evolve into an organization that provides specifically newly manufactured, quality race bits. Before we left, I posted a blog post about this change to focusing as a vendor or wholesaler on the offerings of our key manufacturer accounts: TGA Molnar Precision LTD, Molnar Manx, SmartCarbs and Hand Held Dyno by OEM Digital as over 90 % of our used inventory has been sold to 5 different dealers. However, we still do have some solid NOS Ducati and Aprilia items still in the bag. In addition, we still have some good used Ducati and especially Norton inventory left from the consolidation but that inventory is shrinking. If you are in need of something specific, let me know. The best way to sort out what is still available and what fits your build is emailing me directly or making a telephone call to me. This could be a good use of our joint time as now that we are back, we will be focusing on updating and reconfiguring the entire Italianiron.com website as quickly as we can. Shown below is our chrome-moly Ducati TT frame that will accept Ducati twin cylinder engines from 1200 cc to 350 cc. In addition we continue to offer all of the bracketry, aluminum "shallow sump" or "deep sump" Ducati TT fuel tanks, billet aluminum yokes/triple clamps, race rear shocks and clip-on's just to name a few of the items on offer. Shown below is the Ducati Monster S2R engine mounted into our TT frame.

Nothing has changed as it relates to our continued commitment to support the International Sport of Vintage Motorcycle Racing and it is our belief that our offerings will only become more extensive and the ordering systems more streamlined. We remain squarely committed to the builders and racers who keep these amazing machines from Ducati TT, Ducati Pantah, Norton Manx and Norton Commando racers vital on the track and streetbikes on the road!! Yes, jet fuel surcharges have been hitting everyone in the world of international shipping this year - no secret there. However, our key shipping account FedEx has been working hard with us to make shipping cost effective. An indirect benefit is that FedEx has offered us some incredible rates for FedEx Air Freight. What this allows us to do is to bring in more of our most popular products such as our bodywork, specialty aluminum fuel tanks, stainless steel exhaust systems and bodywork for our Ducati, TT, Norton and Triumph racers because there is greater volume to each shipment. Depsite our manufacturing facility for carbon fiber and fiberglass race bodywork being in the UK, we find that we can still import this high quality race bodywork very cost effectively from the UK to the US. Honestly, as we check other US outlets, we have found that we can offer a higher quality of product that is less expensive than manufacturers here in the US. If you have been putting off placing an order because you assumed shipping would kill the deal, please reach out. It is far more cost effective than most people expect.

Shown above is our friend and specialty race engine builder, Toine van den Biggelaar at his shop in beautiful Oisterwijk, The Netherlands, who was kind to send us the video of his customer's Ducati TT racer with a Ducati 750 cc engine and using our stainless steel 2:1 exhaust system and our billet SmartCarb flat-slide carburetors. A key agenda item for us this year is to update and "build-out" our SmartCarb offerings as the factory has only been enhancing the technology of these world class carburetors in addition to expanding the range of sizes and applications. I have written 16 blog posts on the successes that we have had using the SmartCarb flat-slides on vintage Ducati bevel drives, Ducati 750 F1 engines to Ducati Monster 1100 engines and recently Norton Commando's. To further compliment our support of vintage motorcycle racing, we will continue to offer a larger number of Avon race tires per shipment due to the expanded volume capacity that comes with air freight. We ordered and purchased the last production run of 4,000 race tires before the Avon factory was closed. We usually "sell-out" the day that a shipment of Avon's arrive at our US shop but with larger orders of tires, we hope to continue to more efficiently support the different dealers and race teams that we work with.

At Italianiron BritIron Classics, we continue to offer quality OEM and newly manufactured engine and chassis bits for Norton Manx, Norton CommandoAtlas, Dominator, Vincents and Seeley road and racing motorcycles. As a US dealer for Marvic Wheels in Italy, we continue to offer modern versions of "vintage" magnesium wheels for a broad range of Ducati vintage and modern motorycles as well as some custom projects like some cool Yamaha 2 stroke racers and other marques. Shown above is my Ducati 900 ss MHR bevel drive with a newly manufactured set of 18" Campagnolo magnesium wheels by Marvic with all of the benefits of modern manufacturing techniques and improved metallurgy. In conclusion, the best way to confirm fitment or availability of a particular item is to give me a call at 520-730-7576 or email is italianiron7@gmail.com. (Note that we also use What's App for cost free international calls) I read and answer every enquiry myself. As a result of our offerings, it is our hope to help you to become immersed in the history, the passion and the early technology of these amazing machines. Let us "Fuel Your Race Passions" to keep the sport of Vintage Motorcycle Racing alive and well!!
