Shifting Gears@ Italian & BritIron Classics #2 : What's Next, What's Available, and Where We're Headed
Posted by Scot P Wilson on Apr 20th 2026

If you caught our last post, you know, at ItalianIron & BritIron Classics, we've been in the middle of consolidating the shop into a smaller, more focused space. Happy to report that the transition is going well. We're not shrinking our core manufactured bits but we're streamlining the business. Less square footage, same commitment to getting you the right parts for your build or race program. Which brings us to the remaining inventory. As we work through the consolidation, there are still pieces available that need to find a good home. These are quality bits — the kind of stuff that doesn't come up often — and we're open to reasonable offers. If you've had your eye on something or you're curious what's still on the shelf, reach out and let's talk. First come, first served, and we'd rather see these parts on a bike than sitting in a box. Shown below are some of our Vic Camp fairing & seatbases for Ducati Singles and other marques. We also have a set of Ducati TT1 fairings and a used Ducati Pantah 500 racer 1/2 fairing. As our Norton Commando and Manx offerings continue to explode, we also have a Norton Norvil street 1/2 fairing. If there is anything in particular that you need, contact me at Italianiron7@gmail.com

In the meantime, we continue to offer our race quality bodywork and cost-effective windscreens for the full range of our fairing kits — and the orders keep coming in, which tells us the demand is very much still there. We're continuing to see strong interest in race fairings and fuel tanks for Ducati Pantah's, Vic Camp Singles and 1990s Supersport's, Norton Commando's, Seeley, Matchless and Triumph Robb North Trident racers. We have also been very pleased with the interest from our customers both domestically and internationally for our Honda and Yamaha vintage racer fairing kits. Know that every fairing kit that we offer, a flexible race quality windscreen is availble that does not require a heat gun to mount!! If your machine is on that list, you already know how difficult it is to find correct, quality bodywork. We've got you covered. These are available and shipping regularily, so if you've been sitting on an order, now's a good time to pull the trigger before we head out. Note that after our moving sale, future bodywork will need to be ordered but we get shipments in twice per month from our suppliers. However, may take a little bit of planning so that you are prepared for race events at the track.

Which brings us to the remaining inventory. Shown above is a Norton Commando Fastback OEM seatbase, a universal Bum Stop for British racers, a nice used Ducati 500 Pantah OEM seatbase and a Ducati MHR OEM seatbase.

When we do get back, it's full speed ahead. We'll continue to supply race quality bodywork kits for Italian, British and Japanese machines — because vintage racing doesn't care what badge is on the tank, and neither do we. Alongside the bodywork, we'll keep supporting your build with specialty components including our SmartCarb flat-slide carbs and Hand Held Dyno electronic ignition kits, available for a wide range of marques and models. If you're not sure whether we cover your specific machine, ask — chances are we do. We will be working feverishly on reconfiguring our Italianiron.com website to remove the used inventory of our vintage OEM spares that are sold and with our new strategic focus on highlighting our biggest selling items and newly manufactured engine bits. We will also continue to offer our large range of bodywork for many marques to include Italian, British and Japanese manufacturers such as Aermacchi, Ducati Bevel Drive, Ducati TT, Ducati Pantah, Honda, Kirby, Robb North, Seeley and Yamaha to name a few. As a result of my many builds and racers, it is my belief that we offer the most cost effective and most flexible, quality windscreens available. We look forward to continue to be of service. We are also fortunate to work with real restoration experts to include Ben our painter, Mitch at J&J Restoration (vinyl and leatherwork expertise) and Ron F who did some specialty machine work on our Dunstall Norton Dual Disc Fork set. We are always excited to support real craftsmen.

We are also having great fun working on Norton Manx and Norton Commando & Dominator twin cylinder racers which is where I initially "cut my teeth" participating in period racing such as BOTT. In addition to our product portfolio for Ducati TT and other Ducati racers, we are also excited to support enthusiasts for Norton Manx and Norton Twin racers through Molnar Manx and BritIron Classics. Check out our Norvil fairings & windscreen offerings. Please review the numerous newly manufactured TT, Ducati F1 and Norton Commando items such as our aluminum fuel tanks, for example, and listed on my Italianiron.com website. British marques are listed on the BritIron or Molnar Manx section of the website. As a result of our offerings, it is our hope to help you to become immersed in the history, the passion and the early racing technology of these amazing machines. Let us "Fuel Your Race Passions" to keep the sport of Vintage Motorcycle Racing alive and well! The sport of vintage motorcycle racing is worth supporting, and that's exactly what we intend to keep doing. See you on the other side of May.
