Cast alloy chaincase specifically for the Manx engine to accommodate both a 25mm wide belt drive primary and a standard Lucas alternator. Made from special patterns, sand cast, then machined on modern CNC machining centres. All nicely dowelled together with generous sealing faces & a centre bolt fixing. Available in 'raw' condition (as cast) or fully polished.
Requires the crankcase to be drilled & tapped to take the chaincase (MPL crankcases can be supplied ready done). M6 screws supplied. You will also need a centre bolt/sleeve nut assembly, which is subject to additional charge.
This can also be supplied, to special order, to suit Norton Twins in a Featherbed frame, for those customers who want to get rid of the pressed steel chaincase. This option is subject to a small surcharge and a couple of weeks delay. Please contact us if you are interested in this option.
