For purchase is a set of Aluminum Barrels for the Norton 850 and 750 Commando and made by Molnar Manx in Preston, England UK. We have now added the additional barrels for 1000 cc, 920 cc, and 650 cc as well. These Norton twin cylinder barrels are cast in fully heat-treated LM25TF aluminum alloy. They have deeper, thinner fins than any other barrels on the market today. Whereas this design does make it more difficult to cast these barrels, we believe that it is worth that effort to achieve superior cooling. Additionally, our barrels are visually closer in appearance to the original Norton iron barrels in an effort to be more period correct. They also save around 5kg in weight! Machined in the Preston, England workshop on modern 5 axis machinery to precise tolerances, these are truly the optimum barrels for your Norton twin cylinder engine. Options in bore size are: 83,81,77,73, and 68 mm. Other options are: liner material (such as nikasil), head bolt kit and Barrel Through Bolt Kit. Please advise as to your specifications. Do note that the 1000 cc Commando barrel uses bores spaced 3/32" further apart so they will require our special cases, crank, pistons and head. Also of note is if you are fitting one of our barrels to Dominator or Atlas engine cases, please contact us before ordering as the opening in the cases is smaller although the hole pattern is the same.
